What we collect

Account details. Your email address, name, nickname and password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider).

Fighter profile. If you sign up as a fighter: date of birth, gender identity and the matching pool you choose, city and state, weight, height, disciplines, experience level, the venues you prefer, and your answers to fight slots.

Phone number. Your mobile number, whether and when it was verified, and whether and when you agreed to receive texts.

Payments and identity. Stripe processes your membership payments, payout account and identity verification. We receive status information from Stripe (for example, that your identity is verified or your membership is active) but not your card details or your identity documents.

Messages. A record of the notifications we send you by email, text and push (when each was sent, which kind of message it was, and whether it was delivered).

How we use it

We use your information to run your account, match fighters into bouts, send you the notifications you need about slots and bouts, process your membership, keep the platform safe, and meet our legal obligations.

Matching uses your matching pool, weight, experience level, disciplines, venues and rest period. We never use gender identity or sex assigned at birth to pair fighters.

Your opponent sees only your nickname, city and state, weight, height, disciplines, experience level, matching pool and fight record. They never see your name, contact details, date of birth or gender identity.

Text messages (SMS)

What we collect. If you give us your mobile number, we keep the number, whether and when you agreed to receive texts from us, and a record of the texts we send you (when each was sent, what kind of message it was, and whether it was delivered).

How we use it. We use your number to send you one-time codes that you request to verify it. If you agree to receive texts, we also use it to send the fight and account messages described in our Terms. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.

Who we share it with. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with any third party or affiliate for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-message opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of information this policy says we may share with third parties. We share your number only with the service providers that deliver our messages for us, currently Customer.io and Twilio, and only so they can deliver them.

How long we keep it. Verification codes are stored in a protected (hashed) form and deleted within 48 hours. Our record of messages sent is deleted after about 90 days. Our service providers keep their own delivery records under their own policies.

Your choices. You can stop texts at any time by turning them off in Settings or replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP we send no further texts, including verification codes, until you reply START. For help, reply HELP or email support@fight-club.ai.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that run parts of the platform for us, under contracts that limit their use of it: Supabase (hosting and database), Stripe (payments, payouts and identity verification), Customer.io and Twilio (email, text and push delivery), and Vercel (website hosting).

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect the safety of our members, or as part of a sale or reorganization of our business. We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is open and for as long as we need it afterwards to meet legal, accounting and safety obligations. Notification records are deleted after about 90 days.

Your choices and rights

You can update your profile and notification settings at any time in the app. You can ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by emailing us. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right to know, delete and correct personal information and to not be discriminated against for using these rights.

Age

Fight Club AI is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create a fighter account.

Security

We protect your information with access controls at the database level, encryption in transit, and two-factor authentication for our staff. No system is perfectly secure; tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.
